I believe that music is one one of life’s most enriching experiences. Music fosters confidence and sense of community, thinking skills, exploration, collaboration, and creativity. My pedagogical approach focuses on musicality and proper technique, valuing each student’s individual learning style and goals. When teaching harp and piano lessons, I incorporate instruction on music theory, ear training, music history, memorization, and performance skills so students gain a deep and meaningful understanding of the specific instrument and music as a whole.

For every student, I believe in providing instruction that is gentle, patient, and understanding. If a student has a special need, I will do my best to provide instruction in such a way that helps the student have a wonderful, enriching musical experience. For example, there are certain sizes and models of harps that are better for students who have special needs regarding mobility. I would work with the student (and parents/guardians) on recommending the best harp for this student.
